Hygienist Team

Susan Abusharkh

Deborah Hurley

Deb is a graduate of Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene and Northeastern University. A key member of Dr. Goldman's hygiene team for over seven years, her experience ranges back over "countless years and countless cleanings." She especially enjoys the personal relationships she enjoys with her patients and she is attuned to their individual oral health needs. "Dental care is different for each person. I like to ask, 'What works for you?' and provide guidance, especially when it comes to children." Deb says there is nothing more rewarding than when "a patient thanks me and says, 'That was fun.'" Be sure to ask her about her two granddogs, as well as her grandkids. When she is not in her blue scrubs, you might find Deb near the ocean biking, hiking, or walking.

Susan Abusharkh

As a dental hygienist, Susan knows she must sound repetitive to her patients. However, it's her responsibility to ensure that her patients are in optimal health by counseling them about oral health techniques. This means emphasizing that good dental health is strongly related to good overall health. Dental care now involves so many options, such as different kinds of toothbrushes and oral care products. Susan always recommends fluoride-based toothpaste.
"I also remind patients of the importance of flossing. I notice such a difference in the patients who floss regularly versus those who choose not to floss. It always amuses me when a patient comes in and confesses that he or she hasn't flossed in the last six months but that he did floss the night before the appointment to 'make it look good' for me," says Susan. Of course, it's not hard to identify a regular flosser during the examination. She certainly gives patients credit for being honest!
It's no wonder that patients pre-book multiple appointments with Susan up to a year in advance.

Kris Neary

Kris Neary is a new member of our team, but she is not new to dental hygiene. She has valuable experience of over 25 years in a multi- specialty practice. She is experienced with many types of dental technologies, including ultrasonics, digital X-rays, and intraoral cameras. Kris is committed to helping her patients achieve optimum dental and overall health. She believes in educating her patients about their dental health, so that they can make informed decisions about their oral health.
She is a life-long resident of Peabody, where she currently lives with her husband and two daughters. Kris enjoys running and playing golf with her husband in her free time; she is excited to join a practice that has cultivated many long time patients and is looking forward to continuing this tradition!
